What’s the difference between a certified locator and a locator?
In short, the difference is A LOT of specialised training.
Becoming a certified locator requires extensive practical training and testing to ensure the person has the most up-to-date knowledge, safety regulations, and skillset required for service locating. Certified locators also have special access to otherwise restricted utility networks.
What is Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) and how does it work?
DBYD is a nationwide not-for-profit organisation that provides the most recent asset plans for underground services and any other key information about your worksite that is available to them.
We make a DBYD query to gain the necessary information and use it as a starting point for locating underground assets.
